The Tradeston area is situated on the South Bank of the River Clyde and consists of twelve city blocks extending southwards from the River. Phase 1 comprises the redevelopment of three city blocks fronting onto the Clyde. The Urban Design Strategy for the three blocks reinforces the existing city grid.
